New fungicide residue trials in broad beans
Botrytis is a significant issue in many crops including broad beans. The imminent demise of the only viable option (carbendazim) has exposed the crop protection programme. Four field trials were conducted in broad beans to establish the residue profiles of four candidate fungicides with known Botrytis activity in other crops.
There were no residues detected in broad beans with any of the candidate fungicides evaluated. Applications were made up to seven days before harvest.
