Brown rot control in stonefruit has been compromised by the failure of existing chemistry to provide acceptable efficacy. Summerfruit NZ, along with A Lighter Touch and a crop protection company, are working together to secure a label registration for stonefruit. Four field trials have been completed to evaluate efficacy and residues of a Group 3 fungicide in cherries, apricots and peaches. Residue results and associated efficacy data is with the registrant pending submission to ACVM for registration.
