Export value increase – Over the life of the programme, export value for the crops in the programme to increase by 40%.
Price premium – New Zealand produce will be achieving a premium in primary markets compared to “conventionally” produced products from other countries.
Demand premium – New Zealand will be a preferred supplier of plant-based products as demonstrated through the expanding scope of export markets and export crops through the life of the programme.
Brand NZ recognition increase – Over the life of the programme, Brand NZ recognition for New Zealand produce increases by 40%.
Market access barriers avoided – By the end of the programme there will be no non-tariff barriers preventing market access.

Introducing new technology and management know-how into New Zealand’s economy.

Industry’s additional benefits include improved industry cohesion, shared problem solving, cooperation, closer ties between industry, and research and crop protection communities, and avoiding the consequences of not adapting to meet changing consumer demands. Failure to adapt could result in New Zealand products being locked out of export markets and adverse consumer reaction.
