Electronic Grower Communications.. on a shoestring has been developed by A Lighter Touch and extension experts Scarlatti to support ALT product groups in designing, implementing and evaluating their extension programmes.
The guide shows how communications and engagement theory works in the horticulture sector and include tips on how to master electronic communication channels.
The case study example is from Strawberry Growers NZ, who use a blog site and short email updates on a need-to-know basis, keeping their electronic communications short, informal and memorable.
Developed as part of the A Lighter Touch biologicals awareness and integration project, this resource, and another on Case study: Growing a Grower’s Group, are the latest additions to a suite of resources to assist and strengthen extension planning.
