The Young Horticulturist of the Year is an annual event that brings together all seven sectors (e.g. Master Landscapers, NZ Plant Producers etc.) of horticulture.
Winners from sector competitions meet and compete in a two-day event involving a range of challenges. These include practical skills, industry expertise, leadership ability, business knowledge and communication.
The 2024 event is being held on Wednesday 30 & Thursday 31 October in Karaka, Auckland. The competition is managed and run by the RNZIH Education Trust, a voluntary group of industry professionals.
