The Te Ahikawariki/Vegetable Industry Centre of Excellence (VICE) project is hosting a Vegetables Big Day Out Event on February 3 and 4 at the demonstration farm at Cronin Road, Pukekohe.
The two days will include both indoor and outdoor presentations, covering a wide range of topics from resistance management and biodiversity to new technologies and cover cropping. A Lighter Touch projects will be among those showcased.
A limited number of subsidised travel places will be available for growers travelling from outside the region to attend the field days. These will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Te Ahikawariki/VICE is a collaboration between mana whenua and vegetable growers to accelerate the sustainable growth of the sector. Its main goal is the development of a vegetable industry centre of excellence, including applied research capability on-farm to support NZ vegetable growers and protect the natural environment.
