The Vegetable Research Roadshow, brought to you by Vegetables NZ and Vegetable Research & Innovation is returning in 2026, and is supported by A Lighter Touch.
This national event is now in its third year and delivers practical research, innovation, and real-world solutions directly to New Zealand growers.
The 2025 roadshow connected with more than 360 growers across the country, and the 2026 series includes an expanded programme and more regional engagement.
This year, the roadshow will visit seven regional centres, and growers are encouraged to sign up to secure a spot at their local event:
- Dargaville – February 24 at 4.30pm
- Pukekohe – February 21 at 3.30pm
- Gisborne – April 22 at 4.00pm
- Hawke’s Bay – April 23 at 4.00pm
- Levin – May 13 at 4.30pm
- Ohakune – May 26 at 4.30pm
- Ashburton – May 12 at 3.30pm

Each event showcases the latest insights on managing key pests and diseases, smarter nutrient management in vegetable crops, updates from A Lighter Touch and Te Ahikawariki, and new tools, technologies, and research outcomes relevant to all major vegetable sectors.
