This case study resource shares the integrated pest management approach (IPM), combined with on-farm biodiversity used to produce a pumpkin crop during summer 2024, with reduced chemical inputs.

The approach showcases a management system designed to reduce chemical inputs while safeguarding crop health and ensuring productivity.

The case study is the latest in a series produced from projects at the Pukekohe Research and Demonstration Farm, which give growers a detailed overview of the IPM approaches taken to achieve successful harvest with a lighter touch crop protection programme.
